Juniper Networks E320 Platform
Juniper has introduced several exciting new enhancements to the E320 Broadband Service Router (BSR) that significantly improve the system capacity, Ethernet density and subscriber scalability. These enhancements, which are provided on top of the E320 BSR's sophisticated Quality of Service implementation and resilient high availability capabilities.
The new E320 BSR enhancements consist of the following features:
- A new Switch Fabric Module and Switch Route Processor Module, which together provide an industry leading 320Gbps of system switching and routing capacity.
- The LM10, a new Line Module which provides 10Gbps of processing capacity per E320 BSR slot and supports higher bandwidth, higher density interface card.
- Two new interface cards: a 10 Gigabit Ethernet interface card that provides high bandwidth connections to access network and core network devices of all types; and an 8 port Gigabit Ethernet interface card, which enables the deployment of up to an industry leading 192 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces per E320 BSR.
- Increased subscriber and session density per E320 BSR, enabling service providers to maximize top-line revenue by accommodating more customers per system.
Designed from inception to support high-bandwidth multiplay IP and broadband services for both business and residential subscribers, the E320 BSR has the capacity, density and scalability that helps service providers reduce network costs and drive top-line revenue.
