Basic iSilo Navigation Instructions
- To view the Palm OS formatted files using iSilo, go to the handheld's Home, click the iSilo icon, and then select the file.
- To scroll through the document, use the scroll buttons on the device or use the invisible scroll bar on the right side of the screen. To move the screen up, tap near the top of the screen. To move the screen down, tap near the bottom of the screen. To continue scrolling, hold the stylus on the screen. Use the iSilo preferences to change the appearance or location of the scroll bar.
- Links appear as underlined text.
- After using a link, a return arrow is available at the bottom of the screen.
- Tables are displayed one row at a time, with a dark horizontal rule indicating the start of a new row and a medium horizontal rule indicating fields.
- To locate the section you want, use the table of contents or the index. To search for specific text, use the Find feature.
- For complete iSilo documentation, download the iSilo manual which can be installed on the handheld. A PDF version is also available on the iSilo Web site.
Known limitations
- Using the scroll buttons on the handheld to move down a page might result in a blank page. Continue to scroll to view the following page.
- Sample output is not formatted exactly as displayed on the router console. Screen size limitation of handhelds prohibits the correct display. However, the information is displayed in order. For an accurate view of the sample output, see the printed or PDF version of the manual.
- A limitation exists in the current Palm documentation that allows only one file to be installed onto a Palm handheld. We will be posting updated files which will allow multiple books to be installed on a single handheld.
