Service Automation Dates & Milestones

The table below details important information relevant to the software releases of the two components of the Service Automation solution: Service Now/Service Insight, and Advanced Insight Scripts (AI-Scripts). The dates and milestones provided are in accordance with the policies of Service Now/Service Insight, and AI-Scripts at the time of each software release and are in accordance with stated End of Life/End of Support policies for Juniper Networks.


Note: Service Now/Service Insight and AI-Scripts is End of Life/End Support and no longer available or supported. The final major release for Service Now/Service Insight was 18.1, and the final major release for AI-Scripts was 7.0. Please refer to TSB17698 for the detailed EOL annoucement.

Notes:

  • Service Now/Service Insight and AI-Scripts are in support only mode. No new features or major versions will be released. The final major release for Service Now/Service Insight is 18.1, and the final major release for AI-Scripts is 7.0. Please refer to TSB17698 for the detailed EOL announcement.
  • For all AI-Scripts software products released after September 15, 2009, the software support policy has been revised. For AI-Scripts products released after September 15, 2009, the period of active engineering support will be the current release plus two (2) subsequent releases, or up to 9 (nine) months from the FRS date, whichever comes first. All software releases are considered major. The product cycle is currently three (3) months, so the period of active engineering support is typically up to nine (9) months from FRS.
  • For AI-Scripts software products released between January 17, 2009 and September 15, 2009, the period of active engineering support will apply only to the current release plus one (1) subsequent release, or up to 6 (six) months from the FRS date, whichever comes first. All software releases are considered major. The product cycle is currently three (3) months, so the period of active engineering support is typically up to six (6) months from FRS.
  • For AI-Scripts software products released prior to January 17, 2009, the period of active engineering support will apply only to the current release. All software releases are considered major. The product cycle is currently three (3) months, which is the typical period of active engineering support.
  • Update releases (e.g. service, maintenance, patch) will no longer be created for major software releases after the end of engineering (EOE) date.
  • JTAC support will continue after EOE for two (2) subsequent releases or up to six (6) months, whichever occurs first. After EOE and until EOS JTAC support will be generally limited to investigation and troubleshooting in an attempt to provide solutions and workarounds.
  • When the release reaches EOS the software images are removed from juniper.net and JTAC will only provide support on a commercially reasonable effort basis.

1AI-Scripts 4.1 on QFabric systems only: EOE/EOS extended for as long as QFabric remains supported
