Release Information
Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 11.1 for the QFX Series.
Description
Shut down or disable interfaces when the storm control level is exceeded, as follows:
If you set both the action-shutdown and the port-error-disable statements, the affected interfaces are disabled temporarily and recover automatically when the disable timeout expires.
If you set the action-shutdown statement and do not set the port-error-disable statement, the affected interfaces are shut down when the storm control level is exceeded, and they do not recover automatically. You must issue the clear ethernet-switching port-error command to clear the port error and restore the interfaces to service.
![]() | Note: This statement is not supported for OVSDB-managed interfaces on which storm control is configured. |
Default
The action-shutdown feature is disabled. If the storm control level is exceeded, the switch drops broadcast and unknown unicast messages on the specified interfaces.
