Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 7.6.
Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 9.0 for EX Series switches.
Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 12.1 for the QFX Series.
Description
Configure the interval at which routes learned
by RIP are sent to neighbors. This timer controls the interval between
routing updates. This timer is set to 30 seconds, by default, with
a small random amount of time added when the timer is reset. This
added time prevents congestion that can happen if all routing devices
update their neighbors simultaneously.
Options
seconds—Estimated
time to wait before making updates to the routing table.
Range: 10 through 60 seconds
Required Privilege Level
routing—To view this statement in the
configuration.
routing-control—To add this statement to the configuration.
