Description

Disable helper mode for graceful restart. When helper mode is disabled, a router cannot help a neighboring router that is attempting to restart. The last committed statement takes precedence over the previously configured statement.

Default

Helper mode is enabled by default for OSPF.

Options

both

(Optional) Disable helper mode for both standard and restart signaling-based graceful restart.

restart-signaling

(Optional) Disable helper mode for restart signaling-based graceful restart (based on RFC 4811, RFC 4812, and RFC 4813).

Note: Restart signaling-based helper mode is not supported for OSPFv3 configurations.

standard

(Optional) Disable helper mode for standard graceful restart (based on RFC 3623).
