Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 7.4.
Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 9.0 for EX Series switches.
Description
For devices with multiple Routing Engines only. Configure a commit command to automatically result in a commit synchronize action between dual Routing Engines within the same chassis. The Routing Engine on which you execute the commit command (the requesting Routing Engine) copies and loads its candidate configuration to the other (the responding) Routing Engines. All Routing Engines then perform a syntax check on the candidate configuration file being committed. If no errors are found, the configuration is activated and becomes the current operational configuration on all Routing Engines.
Starting with Junos OS Release 9.3, accounting of events and operations on a backup Routing Engine is not supported on accounting servers such as TACACS+ or RADIUS. Logging of accounting events is supported only for events and operations on a master Routing Engine.
