Disabling Telnet Service on the TGM550

To disable Telnet service on the TGM550:

1. Connect to the TGM550 through the console port. For more information, see Connecting Through the TGM550 Console Port.
2. To disable incoming Telnet connections, enter the following command, replacing port with the Telnet port number:
   TGM550-004(super)# no ip telnet
3. To disable outgoing Telnet connections from the TGM550 to other devices, enter
   TGM550-004(super)# no ip telnet-client
4. Save the configuration:
   TGM550-004(super)# copy running-config startup-config
