Configuring a Multicast Network
You configure a router network to support multicast applications with a related family of protocols. To use multicast, you must understand the basic components of a multicast network and their relationships, and then configure the device to act as a node in the network.
 | Note: Both Protocol Independent Multicast (PIM) version 1 and PIM version 2 are supported. In this chapter, the term PIM refers to both versions of the protocol. |
You use either the J-Web configuration editor or CLI configuration editor to configure multicast protocols. The J-Web interface does not include Quick Configuration pages for multicast protocols.
