Activate an Entitlement

You (superuser) can activate an entitlement on a device from the Entitlements tab (Organization > Licensing > Entitlements). After you activate an entitlement, the entitlement becomes a license. You can view these licenses on the Activations tab (Organization > Licensing > Activations).

To activate an entitlement on a device:
  1. Navigate to Organization > Licensing > Entitlements.
    The Entitlement tab appears.
  2. Select the option button next to the name of the entitlement (Product Name) that you want to activate, and click the Activate button.

    The Select a Device page appears.

  3. On the Select a Device page,

    • Select a device model from the Device model drop-down list.

    • Select a device serial number from the Device Serial Number drop-down list.

    Note:

    When you activate an entitlement, you must ensure that you have selected the correct device model and the device serial number. If you select an incorrect device model and device serial number, the operation fails and an error message is displayed.
  4. Click Activate.

    A message indicating that the entitlement is successfully activated is displayed and you can view the progress of the activation on the Audit Logs page (Organization > Audit Logs).

    You can view the activated entitlements on the Activations tab (Organization > Licensing> Activations).

    After a license is activated, you will receive an email confirming the activation. The email is sent to the email address that you used to register your account.

    Note:

    You can activate only one entitlement at a time.
