Paragon Automation uses Path Computational Element Protocol
(PCEP) sessions to discover tunnels that run in your network. To establish PCEP sessions
between Paragon Automation and the devices managed by it, you must configure a VIP address
using Paragon Shell. The VIP address can be configured either during installation of the
Paragon Automation cluster or post-installation of the cluster.
To configure the PCE Server VIP address using Paragon
Shell:
-
Log in to installer node of the Paragon Automation cluster.
-
Type
configure
to enter configuration mode.
-
Configure the PCE Server VIP address, commit, and exit the configuration mode.
root@Primary1# set paragon cluster applications pathfinder pce-server pce-server-vip pce-server-vip
[edit]
root@Primary1# commit
commit complete
[edit]
root@Primary1# exit
Exiting configuration mode
root@Primary1>
Where:
pce-server-vip is the VIP address used by the PCE server.
-
Regenerate the configuration files.
root@Primary1> request paragon config
Paragon inventory file saved at /epic/config/inventory
Paragon config file saved at /epic/config/config.yml
-
Redeploy the PCE server application.
root@Primary1> request paragon deploy cluster input "-t metallb,addon-apps -e target_components=pceserver"
Process running with PID: 23xx022
To track progress, run 'monitor start /epic/config/log'
After you configure the PCE server, you can view tunnel-related
information on the Tunnels tab of the network table (
Observability > Network
> Topology > Tunnels). For more information, see
About the Tunnels Tab.
