Manage RADIUS Server Configurations

Use this topic to add, edit, or delete RADIUS Server configurations.

Add a RADIUS Server

To configure a RADIUS Server in Paragon Automation:

  1. Click Settings menu > System Settings on the banner.

    The Organization Settings page appears.

  2. Under Device Authentication, click Radius.
    The Radius Configuration table appears.
  3. Click the + (Add) icon to configure a RADIUS Server.

    The Create Radius Configuration page appears.

  4. Enter details by referring to Table 1.
  5. Click Save.

    The RADIUS Server is configured and listed in the RADIUS Configuration table.

Table 1: Parameters to Configure a RADIUS Server

Field

Description

Server Address

Enter the IPv4 address of the server.

Secret

Enter the password that the network device would use to authenticate with the RADIUS Server.

Port

Enter the port on which to contact the RADIUS Server.

Default: 1812

Range: 0 through 65,535

Accounting Port

Enter the port to be used for accounting purposes.

Default: 1813

Range: 0 through 65,535

Retry

Enter the number of times that the device attempts to contact the RADIUS Server. If you enter a value outside the range, you are prompted to re-enter the value.

Range: 1 through 100

Timeout

Enter the time that the device can wait (in soeconds) to receive a response from the RADIUS Server. If you enter a value outside the range, you are prompted to re-enter the value again.

Range: 1 through 100

Username

Enter the username that would be used to onboard the device. There are no restrictions on the number or type of characters that you can use.

Password

Enter the password for the username. There are no restrictions on the number or type of characters that you can use.

Edit a RADIUS Server

To edit a RADIUS Server:

The changes to the RADIUS Server configuration are automatically saved to the database. However, you must click Save to save the change in device authentication type.

  1. Click Settings menu > System Settings on the banner.

    The Organization Settings page appears.

  2. Click the RADIUS Server you want to edit.

    The Edit RADIUS Configuration page appears.

  3. Edit the RADIUS Server configuration by referring to Table 1.
  4. Click Save.

    You are returned to the Organization Settings page, where you can view the changes in the RADIUS Configuration table.

Delete a RADIUS Server

To delete a RADIUS Server:

  1. Click Settings menu > System Settings on the banner.

    The Organization Settings page appears.

  2. Click the RADIUS Server you want to edit.

    The Edit RADIUS Configuration page appears.

  3. Click Delete.

    You are returned to the Organization Settings page, where you can view that the RADIUS Server configuration is removed from the RADIUS Configuration table.
