request forwarding-options port-mirroring instance instance-name <family family-name> self-mirror-start start-duration-seconds

Description

Start the on-device packet capture (self-mirroring) of network packets to the CPU and to PCAP files.

Options

family family-name

(Optional) Protocol family to which this command is applied.

instance instance-name Port-mirroring instance to which this command is applied.
self-mirror-start start-duration-seconds Duration in seconds before the start of the file recording (1–1800 seconds).

Output Fields

When you enter this command, you are provided no feedback on the status of your request. You can enter the show forwarding-options port-mirroring self-mirror start command to verify the operation.
