Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 17.4R1.

Description

Storm control defines a threshold for broadcast, unknown unicast, or multicast traffic. If traffic exceeds this threshold, storm control drops the packets. When a filter is applied to the storm control interface, the dropped packet count increases even when storm control does not drop packets. You can configure enhanced storm control to collect statistics on packets dropped by storm control when a filter is configured on the same interface.
