overlay-ecmp

date_range 20-Mar-24

Syntax

content_copy zoom_out_map
overlay-ecmp;

Hierarchy Level

content_copy zoom_out_map
[edit forwarding-options vxlan-routing]

Description

Enable two-level equal-cost multipath next hops.

On QFX5110, QFX5120, EX4650, EX4400, and EX4100 switches, you must configure this statement for Ethernet VPN Virtual Extensible LAN (EVPN-VXLAN) overlay networks when overlay routing is configured (e.g. Overlay routing using pure Type 5 or IRB). For more information about configuring pure type-5 routes, see ip-prefix-routes. For more information on Overlay Routing using an IRB interface, see Using a Default Layer 3 Gateway to Route Traffic in an EVPN-VXLAN Overlay Network.

Note:

Configuring this statement causes the Packet Forwarding Engine to restart. Restarting the Packet Forwarding Engine interrupts all forwarding operations. Therefore, we strongly recommend using this configuration statement before the EVPN-VXLAN network becomes operational.

Required Privilege Level

interface—To view this statement in the configuration.

interface-control—To add this statement to the configuration.

Release Information

Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 17.4R1.
