Description

Enable the symmetric IRB model of routing with EVPN Type 2 routes. You must specify the vni option and a VXLAN network identifier (VNI) with this statement.

We support this statement in Layer 3 virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) instances on EVPN-VXLAN devices with EVPN instances defined with MAC-VRF routing instances (instance-type mac-vrf).

By default, devices use asymmetric Type 2 routing in the routing instance.
