Syntax
filter { group filter-group-number; input filter-name; input-list [ filter-names ]; output filter-name; output-list [ filter-names ]; }
Hierarchy Level
Protocol-independent firewall filter on MX Series router logical interface:
[edit interfaces interface-name unit logical-unit-number], [edit logical-systems logical-system-name interfaces interface-name unit logical-unit-number]
All other standard firewall filters on all other devices:
[edit interfaces interface-name unit logical-unit-number family family], [edit logical-systems logical-system-name interfaces interface-name unit logical-unit-number family family]
Description
Apply a stateless firewall filter to a logical interface at a specific protocol level.
Options
group filter-group-number |
(Only Ex, M, MX, and T Series) Number of the group to which the interface belongs. Range: 1 through 255 |
input filter-name |
Name of one filter to evaluate when packets are received on the interface. |
input-list [ filter-names ] |
Names of filters to evaluate when packets are received on the interface. Up to 16 filters can be included in a filter input list. |
output filter-name |
Name of one filter to evaluate when packets are transmitted on the interface. |
output-list [ filter-names ] |
Names of filters to evaluate when packets are transmitted on the interface. Up to 16 filters can be included in a filter output list. |
