About this Document

date_range 18-Jul-24

This document provides an overview of steps to provision the Collapsed Fabric with Access Switches and Juniper Apstra JVDE. The Collapsed Fabric with Access Switches and Juniper Apstra JVDE extends the functionality in the base Collapsed Fabric with Access Switches JVD by providing the same network topology with an additional layer of access switches. You would use this JVDE when you want to use the collapsed fabric topology from the base JVD but need more access switch interfaces in your network.

This JVDE provides a network topology that consists of two switches in a collapsed spine architecture, with two additional switches attached to this collapsed spine as access layer switches. The device models validated in the topology are provided further in the document.

This document is intended for an audience familiar with the Junos OS, QFX and EX Series switches, and Juniper Apstra. To explore other Juniper data center JVDs and JVDEs, see Juniper Data Center Validated Designs.
