mtrace monitor

Release Information

Command introduced before Junos OS Release 7.4.

Command introduced in Junos OS Release 9.0 for EX Series switches.

Command introduced in Junos OS Release 11.3 for the QFX Series.

Description

Listen passively for IP multicast responses. To exit the mtrace monitor command, type Ctrl+c.

Options

none

Trace the master instance.

Output Fields

Table 1 describes the output fields for the mtrace monitor command. Output fields are listed in the approximate order in which they appear.

Mtrace query at

Date and time of the query.

by

Address of the host issuing the query.

resp to

Response destination.

qid

Query ID number.

packet from...to

IP address of the query source and default group destination.

from...to

IP address of the multicast source and the response address.

via group

IP address of the group to trace.

mxhop

Maximum hop setting.
