Description

Display status of the forwarding process (fwdd). This command is supported on J Series and Branch SRX Series Services Gateways.

Options

This command has no options.

Output Fields

Table 1 lists the output fields for the show chassis forwarding command. Output fields are listed in the approximate order in which they appear.

Field Name

Field Description

FWWD status

Forwarding status:

  • State:
    • Online—FWDD is operational and running.
    • Offline—FWDD is not running.
  • Microkernel CPU utilization—Percentage of microkernel CPU being used by the forwarding process.
  • Real-time threads CPU utilization—Percentage of CPU being used by the forwarding process.
  • Heap utilization—Percentage of heap space (dynamic memory) being used by the forwarding process. If this number exceeds 80 percent, there may be a software problem (memory leak).
  • Buffer utilization—Percentage of buffer space being used by the forwarding process for buffering internal messages.
  • Uptime—How long the forwarding process has been up and running.
