J Series routers can be configured to "fail over" to an ISDN interface when the primary connection experiences interruptions in Internet connectivity. The following interfaces support ISDN backup connectivity: E1, E3, Fast Ethernet, generic routing encapsulation (GRE), Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE), serial, T1, and T3.
