Statement introduced in JUNOS Release 9.6 for EX Series switches.
Description
Configure the switch to respond to an ARP request as long as the switch has an active route to the ARP request’s target (destination). The destination address can be local or remote. If you enable proxy ARP, it is automatically enabled in unrestricted mode.

Note: If proxy ARP is enabled on a single interface, it applies automatically to all Ethernet switching interfaces on the switch. |
Default
Proxy ARP is not enabled. The switch responds to an ARP request only if the IP address of the destination device is configured on the switch.
