SRX Series Features Supported on vSRX

The following list of Junos OS Release 19.2R1 SRX Series features are supported on vSRX:

  • Application-based multipath support

  • Application-level logging for AppQoE

  • Secure Web proxy

  • Application identification of micro-applications

  • PowerMode IPsec fragment support

  • Support for IDP intelligent inspection

  • Support for JTI

  • Threats Map (J-Web)

  • IDP for tenant systems

  • Support to configure micro-applications in a unified policy

  • PIM using point-to-multipoint mode support for AutoVPN and Auto Discovery VPN

  • PowerMode IPsec for NAT-T

Performance and Scaling

  • Session capacity increase (vSRX 3.0)—Starting in Junos OS Release 19.2R1, you can increase the number of flow sessions by increasing the amount of vRAM allocated to the vSRX instance.

    Flow sessions are determined by the amount of vRAM. After session increment, increasing the number of vCPUs provides good performance.
