CTP2000 Serial Interface Modules

The Juniper Networks CTP2008, CTP2024, and CTP2056 Circuit to Packet platforms have up to one, three, and seven serial interface modules, respectively. The interface modules are interchangeable between the platforms.

The following interface modules have two 100-pin connectors similar to the connectors provided on the CTP1004 and CTP1012 platforms. Each connector provides four ports by means of the quad cable. (See Cabling the CTP2000 Platform Overview.) The lowest-numbered ports start at the top right.

  • CTP2000IM-8P or CTP2000 IM8P-B—Provides the standard software-configurable data interfaces, including EIA530, EIA530A, RS-232, and V.35; 8 port.

  • CTP2000-IM-8P-MS or CTP2000-IM8P-MS-B—Provides the standard software-configurable data interfaces, plus a configurable 4WTO interface; 8 port.

The following interface modules have eight RJ45 T1/E1 ports provided on the CTP2000 platforms.

CTP2000IM-8P-T1E1 or CTP2000-IM8PT1E1-B—Provides the standard software-configurable data interfaces, plus a configurable T1/E1 interface; 8 port. See Figure 1.
