Statement introduced in Junos OS Release 12.2 for the ACX Series Universal Access Routers.
Description
Configure the bit error rate to use in a BERT procedure. Applies to E1, E3, T1, or T3 interfaces, and to the channelized interfaces (DS3, OC3, OC12, and STM1).
![]() | Note: When configuring CE1 or CT1 interfaces on 10-port Channelized E1/T1 IQE PICs, the bert-error-rate statement must be included at the [edit interfaces ce1-fpc/pic/port] or [edit interfaces ct1-fpc/pic/port] hierarchy level as appropriate. When configuring t3-options bert-error-rate on J Series routers, only 0 and 3 through 7 are valid values. If you enter 1 or 2, Junos OS will return the error message configuration check-out failed. |
Options
rate—Bit error rate.
Range: 0 through 7, which corresponds to 10–1 (1 error per bit) to 10 –7 (1 error per 10 million bits)
Default: 0
