Syntax

Description
Set the ratio of the number of packets to be sampled. For example, if you specify a rate of 10, every tenth packet (1 packet out of 10) is sampled.
Native analyzer sessions (that is, the [edit forwarding-options analyzer analyzer-name
input] hierarchy level for MX Series routers) can be configured without specifying input
parameters, which means that the instance uses default input values: rate = 1 and maximum-packet-length
= 0.
The recommended sampling rate for the MX150 is 1000 or greater. If you configure less than 1000, a warning is issued.

For QFX Series switches, the maximum sampling rate for inline Junos Traffic Vision (J-Flow) is 65535.
