Port description
|
Specifies a description for the port.
|
Enter a description of up to 64 alphanumeric characters.
Use only the following special characters:
_ + @ : , . - |
Encapsulation
|
PBS interfaces support PPP and HDLC encapsulation.
|
Select one:
|
Local Address of P2P Link
|
The PBS interface requires that the IP address of the
local IP interfaces be specified.
|
Enter the IP address of the local IP interface.
|
Remote ip of p2p link
|
The PBS interface requires that the IP address of the
remote IP interfaces be specified.
Both the local and the remote IP interfaces must be on the same
network.
|
Enter the IP address of the remote IP interface.
|
Clock Config
|
The clock configuration submenu lets you configure port
speed and clock configuration. The clocking options include configured
rate with and without external TT, all clocked by external TT, and
custom clocking.
CTPView allows you to configure the rate using an input field
and to specify the clocking from a drop-down menu of valid options.
|
Select one:
Cfg Rate - Int Clk—Configured rate without external
TX clock (TT). The CTP device synthesizes the rate that is used on
the ST and RT outputs to the attached device. The ST is used to sample
Send Data from the attached DTE. The clock is created by the CTP DDS
circuitry and logic. This option is commonly used on circuits that
are less than 1 Mbps.
Cfg Rate - Ext Clk—Configured rate with external
TX clock (TT). The CTP device synthesizes the rate that is used on
the ST and RT outputs to the attached device. The clock is created
by the DDS circuitry and logic. This option is used to sample Send
Data from the attached device. It assumes that the attached device
is using an ST or a clock reference that is traceable to CTP reference.
It is typically used for higher data rates (>1 Mbps) and long cables.
All Clock - Ext Clk—All clocked with external TX
clock (TT). The CTP clock uses the external TT timing from the DTE
for all clocking. Ext TT is used to sample Send Data from the attached
device, to generate the RT clock, and to clock data into the IP network.
Custom—The custom clocking configuration is used.

Interface
|
The Interface is configurable to be either EIA530, EIA530A,
RS232, V.35, or T1/E1 (optional when hardware is installed). The encoding
is limited to NRZ.
|
Select one:
EIA530
EIA530A
RS232
V.35
T1/E1
|
MTU
|
The MTU can be configured to a value up to 1500 bytes.
MTU fragmentation is not supported.
|
Enter the MTU in bytes. The default value is 1500.
|
First static route
|
You can configure up to three active static
routes that use the PBS interface. The static routes must not conflict
with the static routes configured on any other PBS Interfaces.
|
Enter up to three static routes.
|
Second static route
|
Third static route
