Juniper RMA License Process

Learn how to use the self-service tool in the Juniper Agile Licensing (JAL) Portal to complete the RMA license process.

JAL Portal provides a self-service tool to complete the RMA license process. Do the following to complete RMA process:

  1. Log in to the JAL Portal as usual and click RMA Tool. The RMA License Transfer tool window displays.
  2. In the RMA License Transfer Tool window, enter the following details:

    1. RMA Number
    2. Defective Device Serial Number

    3. Replacement Device Serial Number

    4. Click Submit

    The replacement device's serial number doesn't need to match the one shipped on the RMA. The serial number of a same platform device from your stock can be used. However, the replacement device must be the same platform as the defective unit.

  3. In the updated RMA License Transfer Tool window, enter the email address where you want to receive the new License Key. Click Transfer.

    The RMA license transfer process is now complete. You can download or email the new License Key.
