About the Routing Health Page
Juniper Paragon Automation Release 2.1.0 provides Beta support for the WAN Health Tab feature.
You can access this page in the following ways:
Click Observability > Health > Health Dashboard > WAN Health (Tab) > Routing Health (Accordion) > View Details.
You can view detailed information about the overall routing health of your network.
Click Observability > Health > Health Dashboard > WAN Health (Tab) > Routing Health (Accordion) > Feature (click any KPI listed).
You can view information about the overall routing health in relation to the KPI that you selected.
The routing health is calculated based on the following routing components:
The states of all BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, RSVP, LSP, and LDP neighbors.
LSP state and flaps.
Entries available in the routing information base (RIB), and forwarding information base (FIB).
The Routing Health page consists of a gauge chart, interactive list of KPIs, and the Overview tab.
Tasks You Can Perform
You can perform the following tasks from this page:
View a gauge chart of the overall routing health.
View a list of four KPIs that affect routing health. The KPIs listed are BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, and RSVP. To view more KPIs, click Select Others at the end of the list.
On the Overview tab:
View percentage of healthy and unhealthy devices in a donut chart.
View the total number of devices in the network in the middle of the donut chart.
Click Clear Selection to clear all selected KPIs.
View the total number of devices in the network on the top-right corner of the page.
View the time stamp of the last update or refresh (in DD/MM/YYYY hh:mm:ss AM/PM format) in the top-right corner of the tab. For Example: 07/12/2024 12:42:43 PM
Update the page by clicking the refresh icon.
Sections on the Page
The following topics describe the sections on the Interfaces Health page.
Gauge Chart
The gauge chart displays the overall routing health of your network, as a percentage. Hover over the chart to view the percentage of healthy devices in relation to routing health. The percentage of healthy devices in relation to routing health is also displayed below the chart. The percentage is 0 even if one routing KPI in the network is unhealthy or has an alert associated to it.
Interactive KPIs
KPIs related to routing components such as BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, and RSVP that affect routing health are listed next to the gauge chart. The overall health of a KPI is displayed next to the KPI itself. Click any KPI to view more factors that affect the overall health.
For example, click LSP to view other KPIs (such as LSP State and LSF Flap) that contribute to the overall percentage that is displayed. In some instances, you can also view a second level of KPIs that affect the overall percentage. For example, click LSP to view other related KPIs that affect the overall health.
A total of four KPIs are listed by default next to the gauge chart. Click Select Others at the end of the list to view other KPIs that affect overall health. To clear all selected KPIs, click Clear Selection.
Overview Tab
The Overview tab consists of the Devices widget.
The Devices widget displays the overall percentage of healthy and unhealthy devices (in relation to the health of routing components) in a donut chart. However, when you select a KPI from the list next to the gauge chart, the Devices widget displays the overall health of the device in relation to that KPI. The total number of devices in the network is displayed in the middle of the chart. Healthy devices are highlighted in green in the donut chart, and unhealthy devices are highlighted in red. Hover over the green portion of the donut chart to view the percentage of healthy devices. Hover over the red portion of the donut chart to view the percentage of unhealthy devices.
