Performance Graphs to View Service Health Monitoring Data

The Passive Assurance tab in the Service-Instance-Name Details page allows you to view results of health checks that Paragon Automation performs on a service and its related parameters after the service is provisioned in the network. To access the Passive Assurance tab, navigate to the Orchestration > Instances > Service Instances page, and select and click the service instance name to be directed to the Service-Instance-Name Details page. Click the Passive Assurance tab to view the service components and related parameters, categorized into accordions. Each accordion under the Passive Assurance tab provides information about the related parameters for the accordion category and the relevant events (alerts) generated. Clicking any of the hyperlinked table entries directs you to the Service-Component-Name Detail page for that accordion category.

The Service-Component-Name Detail page for each service component category lists the parameters (categorized into accordions) for which Paragon Automation performs health checks. The performance graph for an accordion displays information about the performance of the parameter in a specified time duration.

The X axis (horizontal) of a performance graph displays the time duration for which the parameter performance is displayed. The Y axis (vertical) displays the parameter name and number or measurement unit.

The graph displays a line with the data points related to events that have occurred. Click any data point to view more information about the corresponding event in a pop-up. The cause for the alert, if any, is also displayed.

You can view the performance of a parameter for a week, a day, 3 hours, 1 hour, 30 minutes, or a custom time period. By default, information for the past 30 minutes is displayed. To change this period, click the Week, Day, 3 hrs, 1 hr, 30 mins, or Custom buttons provided on top of the Service-Component-Name Detail page.

You can refresh the performance graphs to view the latest data by clicking the Refresh icon at the top of the Service-Component-Name Detail page. The performance graphs also auto-refresh at an interval depending on the time range for which the information is displayed. Table 1 lists the auto-refresh frequencies for different time ranges. The next refresh time is displayed near the Refresh icon at the top of the page.

You can also view the performance graphs for service component parameters in a new tab. Click the pop-out icon at the top-right corner of the accordion to view the performance graph in a new tab.
