About the Vulnerability Health Page
Juniper Paragon Automation Release 2.2.0 provides Beta support for the Trust Tab feature.
To access this page, click Observability > Health > Health Dashboard > Trust (Tab) > Vulnerabilities (Accordion) > View Details.
You can view detailed information about the health of devices based on the vulnerabilities on the devices.
The Vulnerability Health page consists of a gauge chart, a list of KPIs, Overview tab, Timeline tab, Affected Items tab, and Distribution tab.
Tasks You Can Perform
You can perform the following tasks from this page:
View a gauge chart of the overall health of devices based on device vulnerabilities in your network.
View a list of KPIs that affect the health of devices. The KPIs listed are Advisories and PBNs.
On the Overview tab:
View the percentage of healthy and unhealthy devices in the donut chart.
View the percentage of healthy and unhealthy devices (based on device vulnerabilities) grouped by OS versions in a stacked bar chart.
View the percentage of healthy and unhealthy devices (based on device vulnerabilities) grouped by device models in a stacked bar chart.
On the Timeline tab:
View the percentage of healthy devices based on device vulnerabilities for the past 30 days on a graph. The graph is updated based on the KPIs that you select.
On the Affected Items tab:
View the details of unhealthy devices (based on device vulnerabilities) in the order of severity of the alerts generated on those devices.
Click any device hostname to view alerts for that device on the Vulnerabilities for Device-Hostname page.
The Distribution tab consists of the OS tab and Device Model tab.
On the OS tab, view the details of unhealthy devices (based on device vulnerabilities) grouped by device OS version.
On the Device Model tab, view the details of unhealthy devices grouped by device model.
Click Clear Selection to clear all selected KPIs.
View the total number of devices in the network on the top-right corner of the page.
View the timestamp of the last update or refresh (in DD/MM/YYYY hh:mm:ss AM/PM format) in the top-right corner of the tab. For example: 07/12/2024 12:42:43 PM
Update the page by clicking the refresh icon.
On the Affected Items and Distribution tab, you can also:
Sort, resize, or re-arrange columns in a table (grid).
Show or hide columns in the table or reset page preferences, using the vertical ellipsis menu.
Search by using keywords—Click the search icon (magnifying glass), enter the search term in the text box, and press Enter. The search results are displayed on the same page.
Filter the data displayed in the table—Click the filter icon (funnel) and select whether you want to show or hide advanced filters. You can then add or remove filter criteria, save criteria as a filter, apply or clear filters, and so on. The filtered results are displayed on the same page.
Click the Display drop-down at the bottom of the tab to select the maximum number of entries from the available options to be displayed in the table. The default number of entries displayed is 15.
Sections on the Page
The following topics describe the sections on the Vulnerability Health page.
Gauge Chart
The gauge chart displays the overall health of network devices as a percentage. Hover over the chart to view the percentage of healthy devices based on device vulnerabilities. The percentage of healthy devices is also displayed below the chart. The percentage is 0 even if one device in the network is unhealthy or has an alert associated with it.
List of KPIs
KPIs such as PBNs and Advisories are listed next to the gauge chart. The overall health of a KPI is displayed next to the KPI itself. A total of two KPIs are listed by default next to the gauge chart. To clear all selected KPIs, click Clear Selection.
Overview Tab
The Overview tab consists of the Devices, OS Versions, and Models widgets.
The Devices widget displays the overall percentage of healthy and unhealthy devices (based on device vulnerabilities) in a donut chart. However, when you select a KPI from the list next to the gauge chart, the Devices widget displays the overall health of the device based on that KPI. Healthy devices are highlighted in green in the donut chart, and unhealthy devices are highlighted in red. Hover over the green portion of the donut chart to view the percentage and total number of healthy devices. Hover over the red portion of the donut chart to view the percentage and total number of unhealthy devices.
The OS Versions widget displays the percentage of healthy and unhealthy devices (based on device vulnerabilities) grouped by OS versions in a stacked bar chart. Hover over the bar chart to view this percentage. The portion of the bar chart highlighted in green represents healthy devices. The portion of the bar chart highlighted in red represents unhealthy devices.
The Models widget displays the percentage of healthy and unhealthy devices (based on device vulnerabilities) that are grouped by device models in a stacked bar chart. Hover over the bar chart to view this percentage. The portion of the bar chart highlighted in green represents healthy devices. The portion of the bar chart highlighted in red represents unhealthy devices.
Timeline Tab
The Timeline tab displays the percentage of healthy devices based on device vulnerabilities for the past 30 days on a graph.
Data lines for the overall device health and device health in relation to individual KPIs (PBNs and Advisories) are displayed on the graph by default. Hover over any point on the line graph to view the percentage health for that particular point. When you select a KPI from the list next to the gauge chart, the graph is updated to only show the overall health of the device in relation to that KPI. The KPIs are also provided below the graph with colors automatically assigned to each of the KPIs. Click any KPI to view a data line in the assigned color on the graph. Click Clear Selection to clear all selected KPIs.
Affected Items Tab
The Affected Items tab consists of the Devices tab.
The Devices tab displays details of unhealthy devices in the order of severity of the alerts generated on those devices. Click any device hostname to view alerts for that device on the Vulnerabilities for Device-Hostname page.
Distribution Tab
The Distribution tab consists of the OS tab and Device Model tab.
The OS tab displays the details of unhealthy devices (based on device vulnerabilities) grouped by device OS version. The details on this tab are updated based on the KPIs that you select. Click the link in the Devices Affected column provided next to the name of the OS version to view details of all affected devices that use that OS version. This information is displayed on the Vulnerabilities for OS-Name page. The percentage impact for each OS version is also displayed on the OS tab.
The Device Model tab displays the details of unhealthy devices grouped by device model. The details on this tab are updated based on the KPIs that you select. Click the link in the Devices Affected column provided next to the name of the hardware model to view details of all affected devices that belong to that hardware model category. This information is displayed on the Vulnerabilities for Model-Name page. The percentage impact for each device model is also displayed on the Device Model tab.
