Using Generated Alerts

Before You Begin

  • Read the Alerts and Alarms Overview topic.

  • Review the Generated Alerts main page for an understanding of existing generated alarms. See Alert Definitions Main Page Fields for field descriptions.

  • You must add the following configuration to the managed SRX Series Firewalls:

Use the Generated Alerts page to view the system event‐based alerts in response to a configured alert definition. The generated alerts help you to identify problems that appear in your monitored network environment. You can view statistics such as the number of critical and non‐critical alerts.

To use the Generated Alerts page:

  1. Select Monitor > Alerts & Alarms > Alerts. The Alerts page appears.
  2. Use the guidelines provided in Table 1 to learn about the page.

Guidelines

Jump to Event Viewer

Select the generated alert and then right‐click or click More > Jump to Events and Logs. The corresponding events that triggered the alert are displayed.

Detail View

Select the generated alert and then right-click or click More > Detail View.

Clear All Selections

Select the generated alert and then right-click or click More > Clear All Selections.
