Description
Insert the remote-id
suboption of DHCP option 82 (also known
as the DHCP relay agent information option) in DHCP request packet headers before forwarding
or relaying requests to a DHCP server. This suboption provides a trusted identifier for the
host system that has forwarded or relayed requests to the server.

Default
If the remote-id
statement is not explicitly set, no remote ID value
is inserted in the DHCP request packet header.
If the remote-id
statement is explicitly set, but is not qualified by a keyword,
the default value is the device MAC address.
