Description

Enable in-band ZTP.

In-band ZTP enables your already-provisioned Day 1 upstream devices in your IP fabric to monitor for newly connected Day 0 downstream devices. In-band ZTP invokes an autonomous Python daemon, which uses Link-Level Discovery Protocol (LLDP) telemetry data, to monitor for any new downstream interfaces. When a Day 1 upstream device detects a downstream interface, the Day 1 upstream device can provide Layer 3 connectivity to the Day 0 downstream device. With Layer 3 connectivity, the Day 0 device can then proceed with ZTP.

In-band ZTP

Options

management-vlan-id

Provide the management VLAN ID. The management VLAN enables in-band ZTP for a particular VLAN. An upstream device can belong to multiple VLANs, and the management VLAN enables in-band ZTP to monitor for interfaces in those VLANs.

name-server

Provide a list of DNS server addresses.

The remaining statements are explained separately. See CLI Explorer.

Required Privilege Level

None.
