Hierarchy Level
[edit chassis]
Description
Configure the FPC slot number. (ACX and PTX Series devices) Configure no VLAN tagging for a specific FPC. Additionally, configure power off configuration (PTX10003 devices only).
Options
Available command options vary based on the device model.
auto-speed detection |
Disables automatic speed detection. |
cfp-to-et |
Enable ET interface and remove CFP client. |
lossless-flow-control |
Lossless buffer config for Ethernet Mac pause. |
pfe pfe_id core core_id channel channel_id tunnel-services bandwidth bandwidth_speed |
Select a bandwidth speed for your tunnel interface. Speed options start at 1 gigabit. |
fpc fpc_id |
For PTX devices, fpc_id value is 0 to 15. |
pfe pfe_id power (off | on) |
Individual PFE Power off configuration option is available for PTX10003 devices only. The reset-pfe error action is available for PFE power off and restart. • Slot range for FPC is 0 to 1 for PTX10003-8T. Slot range for FPC is 0 to 3 for PTX10003-16T. • PFE number range is 0 to 7 for all the FPCs. • If no power configuration is present, then PFE is considered powered ON. |
mic slot power off |
(Only for MX304) Do not provide power to MIC. To power on the MIC, you need to delete this power off configuration. Please note the following information before you commit the changes: If a commit includes multiple LMICs or separate commits, each LMIC undergoes operations sequentially. When you try to commit back-to-back changes for the same LMIC before the completion of an operation, then the system performs the last commited action and ignores the intermediate actions. |
no-vlan-tagging |
Individual PFE maximum power configuration option is available for PTX10003 devices only. Configure maximum power for the FPC slot. |
pic |
Configure properties for an individual PIC. |
no-temperature-monitoring |
Disable temperature monitoring to explicitly disable optics temperature sensors for EM policy support, on specific WAN ports. |
Sample Output
Power off MIC (MX304 with LMIC)
user@host# set chassis fpc 0 mic 0 power off

Platform-Specific fpc (Chassis)
Behavior
Use Feature Explorer to confirm platform, and release support for specific features.
Use the following table to review platform-specific behaviors for your platform:
Platform |
Difference |
---|---|
MX304 devices |
When you try to commit back-to-back changes for the same LMIC
before the completion of an operation, then the system performs the
last commited action and ignores the intermediate actions. A 120-second delay is enforced between consecutive online or offline requests, irrespective of the request type and LMIC slot. For example, mic 0 offline/online requires 180 seconds to finish. Only after 120 seconds can the mic 1 command begin. If a configuration command is committed within 120 seconds, it will succeed. However, the command's effect will only occur 120 seconds after the last LMIC online/offline completion. |
