Description

Use preference-based PIM EVPN gateway (PEG) designated forwarder (DF) election with optimized intersubnet multicast (OISM) for a virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) instance in an EVPN fabric.

Specify the preference value and (optionally) the preference order that peer PEG DF candidates use to elect the PEG DF.

Options

Elect the OISM PEG DF based on the lowest preference value.

By default, the DF election preference-based algorithm uses the highest preference value.

Preference value for OISM PEG DF election.

  • Default: 32767

  • Range: 0 through 65535
