priority1
Syntax
priority1 priority1-value;
Hierarchy Level
[edit protocols ptp]
Description
Configure the priority as one of the following:
In the timeReceiver, the priority value is set to select the best timeTransmitter clock. Note that in order to select a particular timeTransmitter clock, the priority value in the timeTransmitter clock’s announce message must be equal to or lower than the configured priority1-value.
In the timeTransmitter, the priority value is set to represent itself in the announce message to other timeReceiver clocks.
In the boundary node, the timeReceiver uses this value to determine the best timeTransmitter clock, whereas the timeTransmitter uses this value from the announce message of the selected timeTransmitter clock.
Note that the lower value takes precedence.
