Description
Map a monitor profile to a configured resource list (optional) to monitor hardware resource utilization and set thresholds to trigger notifications as well as the type of notification you would like to receive when a resource breach occurs. Monitoring resource utilization for a hardware resource as it nears or crosses the maximum capacity threshold that you set can enable you to take appropriate and timely actions to prevent unintended consequences in your network, such as traffic loss.
You can use the same monitor profile multiple resource lists, but a single resource list cannot be mapped to multiple monitor profiles. A resource list can only be mapped only to a single monitor-profile. Configure a monitor profile prior to mapping it to a resource list.
To associate a monitor profile with the resource list, in configuration mode, go to the
[edit system packet-forwarding-options hw-resource-monitor
resource-list]
hierarchy level and map a monitor profile:
