Description

Configure ICMP extended echo to enable the probe command. On enabling this statement on the proxy node, you can query for the status of the probed interface. The ICMP extended echo and ICMP extended reply messages are used for the communication between the probing interface and the probed interface through the proxy interface.

Default

Extended echo is disabled unless explicitly enabled.
