session-id-change-limiter-indirect

date_range 20-Nov-23

Syntax

content_copy zoom_out_map
forwarding-table {
    session-id-change-limiter-indirect;
}

Hierarchy Level

content_copy zoom_out_map
[edit routing-options]

Description

Creates additional indirect nexthop in the nexthop chain to store session-id changes. When a session-id is changed in any of the indirect nexthop, the Packet Forwarding Engine must reprogram all the parent nodes of the indirect-nexthop. To limit the number of parent nodes that will be re-programmed, an additional indirect nexthop is added in the nexthop chain. This enables the Packet Forwarding Engine to reprogram only the additional indirect-nexthop.

Default

By default, the session-id-change-limiter-indirect configuration statement is enabled on the platforms that has Packet Forwarding Engine. To disable the configuration statement, use the no-session-id-change-limiter configuration statement.

Required Privilege Level
