Description

Specify the maximum number of entries that can be added to the Neighbor Discovery Protocol (NDP) IPv6 neighbor discovery cache for an interface. When this maximum is reached, no new entries are allowed.

Default

  • 100,000 for M Series and PTX Series.

  • 75,000 for MX Series and QFX Series.

  • 20,000 for EX Series.

Options

nd6-max-cache

Maximum size of the neighbor discovery next-hop cache for an interface.

  • Range: 1 through 2,000,000 for MX Series, PTX Series or QFX Series.

  • Range: 1 through 700,000 for M Series.
