Syntax

show interfaces transport pm <category> <time period> <interface>)

Description

Display performance monitoring (PM) and threshold crossing alert (TCA) data for long-haul optics.

Display performance data of coherent optics monitored over a definite time period. The data includes the following:

Optical power received and transmitted
Module temperature
Signal-to-noise ratio of the received data

You collect the data in 15-minute or 1-day time interval.

Options

all	Display information about both optics and OTN
optics	Display information only about optics
otn	Display information only about OTN

all	Display information for the current 15-minute interval, the current day, the ninety-six 15-minute intervals, and the previous day.
current	Display information only for the current 15-minute interval.
currentday	Display information only for the current 24 hours
interval	Display information only for the ninety-six 15-minute intervals
previousday	Display information only for the previous day.

all	Display information for all interfaces or only for the specified interface (for example, `et-fpc`
`interface-name`	Display information for all interfaces or only for the specified interface (for example, `et-fpc`

Output Fields

The following tables lists all possible fields for the show interfaces transport pm command. The fields that appear may vary depending on the platform and software release.

Table 2 lists the output fields for the show interfaces transport pm optics command. Fields are listed in the approximate order in which they appear.

Field Name	Field Description
`Physical interface`	Name of the physical interface.
SNMP ifIndex	The SNMP index of the interface.
Current	Applicable only for output of current 15-minute PM data, indicates the time range for which the displayed data was accumulated.
Current day	Applicable only for output of current 1-day PM data, indicates the time range for which the displayed data was accumulated.
`Interval`	Applicable only for output of previous 15-minute intervals PM data, indicates the interval number and the time range for which the displayed data was accumulated.
Previous day	Applicable only for output of previous 1-day PM data, indicates the time range for which the displayed data was accumulated.
`Suspect Flag`	Set to True if performance monitoring could not be conducted for part or all of the interval duration, otherwise it is set to False.
`Reason`	If the suspect flag is set to True, this field provides a reason why the data is considered to be suspect.
`PM`	Performance monitoring parameter.
`CURRENT`	The current instantaneous value of the parameter.
`MIN`	The minimum observed value of the parameter over the interval duration.
`MAX`	The maximum observed value of the parameter over the interval duration.
`AVG`	The average observed value of the parameter over the interval duration.
`THRESHOLD (MIN)`	Threshold setting for low threshold crossing alert monitoring, if applicable.
`THRESHOLD (MAX)`	Threshold setting for high threshold crossing alert, if applicable
`TCA-ENABLED (MIN)`	Indicates if the low threshold crossing alert is enabled, if applicable.
`TCA-ENABLED (MAX)`	Indicates if the high threshold crossing alert is enabled, if applicable.
`TCA-RAISED (MIN)`	Indicates if the low threshold crossing has occurred during the interval.
`TCA-RAISED (MAX)`	Indicates if the high threshold crossing alert has occurred during the interval.
`Module temperature (Celsius)`	The temperature of the optics module.
`Supply voltage`	Supply voltage
`Pre-FEC BER`	The bit error ratio of the received signal based on the FEC corrected bits.
`Uncorrected FER`	The ratio of uncorrectable FEC frames.
`SNR`	Signal to noise ratio.
`Tx power`	The transmit laser output power.
`Rx total power`	The total received optical power on the port.
`Rx signal power`	The received signal optical power on the port.
`Tx bias current(mA)`	Bias current of the transmit laser in mA.
`Carrier frequency offset (MHz)`	Measured carrier frequency offset.
`Chromatic dispersion`	Residual chromatic dispersion measured.
`Differential group delay`	Measured differential group delay.
`SOPMD`	Second order polarization mode dispersion.
`PDL`	Polarization dispersion loss.
`SOP ROC`	State of polarization rate of change in krad/sec.
`OSNR`	Optical signal to noise ratio.
`Modulator bias X/I`	Modulator bias in %.
`Modulator bias X/Q`	Modulator bias in %.
`Modulator bias Y/I`	Modulator bias in %.
`Modulator bias Y/Q`	Modulator bias in %.
`Modulator bias X phase`	Modulator bias in %
`Modulator bias Y phase`	Modulator bias in %.
`Q value`	Q value in dB.
`Q margin`	Q value in dB.

`Physical interface`	Name of the physical interface.
`Interval`	The 15 minute interval for performance monitoring.
`Suspect Flag`	Set to True if performance monitoring could not be conducted for part or all of the interval duration, otherwise it is set to False.
`Reason`	If the suspect flag is set to True, this field provides a reason why the data is considered to be suspect.
`COUNT`	Measured value.
`THRESHOLD`	Threshold value set.
`TCA-ENABLED`	Set to TRUE if enabled.
`TCA-RAISED`	TRUE if enabled and the value crosses the threshold.
`Near End PM`	Near end threshold crossing defect trigger. For more information about each trigger, see tca.
`Far End PM`	Far end threshold crossing defect trigger. For more information about each trigger, see tca.
`FEC PM`	Forwarding Error Correction (FEC) threshold crossing defect trigger. For more information about each trigger, see tca.
`BER PM`	BEC threshold crossing defect trigger. For more information about each trigger, see tca.
`CURRENT`	The current instantaneous value of the parameter.
`PM`	Performance monitor.
`MIN`	The minimum observed value of the parameter over the interval duration.
`MAX`	The maximum observed value of the parameter over the interval duration.

`Lane Chromatic dispersion`	Residual chromatic dispersion measured.
`Lane differential group delay`	Measured differential group delay.
`q Value`	Measured Quality factor value.

`Tx output power`	The transmit laser output power.
`Rx input power`	The received optical power on the port.
`Module temperature (Celsius)`	The temperature of the optics module.
`Tx Laser bias current (0.1mA)`	Magnitude of the laser bias power setting current. The laser bias provides direct modulation of laser diodes and modulates currents.
`Rx Laser bias current (0.1mA)`	Magnitude of the laser bias power setting current.
`Carrier frequency offset (MHz)`	Measured carrier frequency offset.
