Options
control-word |
Enable this option on an ACX device operating as a DCI gateway (GW) when both
of the following are true:
-
Your MPLS network is using Ethernet VPN (EVPN-MPLS) for the fabric.
-
Your ACX DCI GW's peer device is using control-word . For
example, you may be connecting across the DCI to a PTX, which only
supports
control-word .
Consider the following when configuring control-word support.
-
On ACX devices, control-word support is disabled by default under the
edit system packet-forwarding-options system-profile
vxlan-stitching hierarchy. Only enable this option when
control-word support is required.
-
In MAC-VRF routing-instances, control-word support is enabled by default
under the edit routing-instances instance-name
protocols evpn hierarchy.
-
In EVPN-VXLAN to EVPN-MPLS networks, when the peer GW doesn't
support control-word, configure the vxlan-stitching knob
as described, and configure the no-control-word option
in the [edit routing-instances instance-name
protocols evpn] hierarchy.
-
In EVPN-VXLAN to EVPN-MPLS networks, when the peer GW does support
control-word, configure the control-word option in the
[edit system packet-forwarding-options system-profile
vxlan-stitching hierarchy.
