Description

Priority assigned to the local clock.

Note: The stateful statement is not supported on QFX Series switches that support PTP

Configure a clock’s local priority to be used as a tie-breaker in the dataset comparison algorithm, in the event that all other previous attributes of the datasets being compared are equal. The dataset comparison algorithm compares one clock with another by using the datasets representing those clocks, appended with the local-priority attribute. The local priority is assigned to the local clock and is used if needed when the data associated with the local clock is compared with data on another potential grandmaster (or the timeTransmitter) clock.

Options

local-priority value

The priority value of the clock.

  • Range: 1 through 255
