Description

On MPCs hosted on MX Series routers, configure the packet burst limit for premium or aggregate traffic in a hierarchical policer. When used in combination with the if-exceeding-ppsand pps-limit statements, you can control the number of packets that will be allowed over a configured packets-per-second limit when traffic is in burst state.

Options

packets—Packet burst limit in packets. You can specify the number of packets either as a decimal number or as a decimal number followed by the abbreviation k (1000), or m (1000000).
