Output Fields

The Output Fields lists the output fields for the show ptp passive-port-monitor-status command. Output fields are listed in the approximate order in which they appear.

Table 1: show ptp passive-port-monitor-status Output Fields
Field Name Field Description
PPM Status

Status of the PTP passive port monitoring feature. (Enabled or Disabled)

PPM Delay Request Interval

The configured delay request rate for port monitoring.

The value of delay request interval ranges from -4 to +4. This represents the packet rates as 2^(-4) that is (16 packets per second) to 2^4 (1 packets per 16 second). Default value is -4.

Actively Monitored-PTP ports data

Displays data from actively monitored PTP ports.

Local Interface

Displays details about local interface.

For example, ae0.4094 (et-4/0/0, primary): Specifies that the local interface has an aggregated Ethernet ID 0 with port number 4094, et-4/0/0 is the Ethernet IP address that is configured as primary.

Clock Stream

Priority value of the clock stream: 0 through 255. The default is 128. The lower value takes precedence.

Source-Port-ID

Displays source port ID: MAC address and port number.

Destination-Port-ID

Displays destination port ID: MAC address and port number.

Port State

State of the PTP port (Master, Slave or Passive)

Operating Mode

Denotes the configured role (Stateful/Slave/Master) of the port.

PhaseOffsetThreshold(ns)

Time phase offset threshold value for the local interface defined in nano-seconds. The threshold value is a range from 0 to 100000000. Raises PTP performance alarm when the measured phase error exceeds the threshold over 15 minutes interval.

Configured role

The PTP stateful port configuration for passive port monitoring. Can be not-master, measure-only or both.

Measurement-status

State of the PTP performance measurement. ctive for passive ports with monitoring enabled, not-applicable when port state is not passive but PTP monitoring is enabled and not-

  • Active: For passive ports with monitoring enabled.

  • Not-Applicable: When monitoring is enabled but port state is not passive.

  • Inactive: When monitoring is enabled but PTP is other than phase aligned state.

Latest measurement data

Details of the latest measurement data.

Timestamp

Timestamp of the measurement data.

PhaseOffsetFromMaster(ns)

Time phase offset of non-master device with master. The range is from 0 to 100000000 (100ms). The default value is 100ms.

Master->slave delay(ns)

Master to non-master synchronization interval; minimum, mean and maximum values (in nano seconds).

Slave->master delay(ns)

Non-master to Master synchronization interval; minimum, mean and maximum values (in nano seconds).

Mean-path-delay(ns)

Delay of mean path minimum, mean and maximum values.

Sample Output

show ptp passive-port-monitor-status (with passive port monitoring enabled and configured as not-master)

show ptp passive-port-monitor-status (with passive port monitoring enabled and configured as measure-only)

show ptp passive-port-monitor-status (with passive port monitoring enabled and configured as not-master and measure-only)

show ptp passive-port-monitor-status (with passive port monitoring enabled, but port state is not passive)

show ptp passive-port-monitor-status (with passive port monitoring enabled, but port state not phase-aligned)

show ptp passive-port-monitor-status (passive port monitoring disabled)
