Description

The secondary Virtual Tunnel End Point (VTEP) address.

The anycast IP address must match the address under set routing-instances instance name vtep-source-interface inet evpn-mpls-encap vxlan-source-ip address.

In earlier versions of Junos, the anycast IP address was used by PIM as the primary address to build the VTEP. Starting in Junos OS Release 22.2R1, the anycast IP address is not considered the primary address, therefore the secondary-vtep-address is necessary for the formation of the VTEP.
